Aramis ‘White Label’ McLaren Vale Shiraz 2014

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 05-Sep-2016
Full, dark, deep black-red colour with youthful purple hues. The nose is elegant and softly concentrated with a core of raspberry fruit interwoven with savoury herbal notes, along with earth and cedar, pepper and some inky elements. Medium-full bodied, the palate possesses gently sweet and luscious, vibrant fruit flavours of savoury dark raspberries entwined with herb, earth, cedar and liquorice notes. The fruit has liveliness and is supported by grainy tannins and fresh acidity. The palate leads to a lively, fine-textured finish. This is a gently sweet and lively Shiraz with savoury raspberry, herb and earthy flavours, along with fine, grainy structure. Match with Middle Easter lamb dishes over the next 4+ years. Fruit from the ‘Aramis’ vineyard fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 18 months in French oak barrels and tanks. 16.5-/20 Sep 2016 RRP $21.99
