Ara ‘Single Vineyard’ ‘Limited Release’ Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Nov-2014
Bright, lurid purple-pink colour with youthful purple hues. The nose is fresh with firmly concentrated aromas of fresh raspberry fruit and strawberries and cream, interwoven with fresh, lifted herbal elements and soft confectionary whole berry fermentation notes. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, fresh and bold fruit flavours of redcurrants, raspberries and red florals form a deep core with good weight and mouthfeel. The fruit is underlined by lively, refreshing acidity and the fruit extract provides good phenolic presence with smooth flow. The flavours lead to a fulsome and positive finish with raspberry and redcurrant notes. This is a full, bold, off-dry rosé with good body and positive raspberry flavours. Match with antipasto and charcuterie over the next 2+ years. Pinot Noir fruit destemmed but not crushed, given 3 days cold soak and cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 6.0 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Nov 2014 RRP $24.95
