Ara ‘Single Estate’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Nov-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is tightly concentrated with intense aromas of pungent passionfruit aromas, packed with mineral and herbal detail, and distinctive steely, saline elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, soft, plush and juicy flavours of passionfruit and succulent tropical fruits are the feature on palate. The flavours are softly mouthfilling, and the wine is rounded in texture with gentle lacy acidity providing energy, the phenolics well-balanced and integral, adding to the core and line. The wine flows smoothly, carrying through to a very long, sustained, luscious and thirst-quenching finish. This is a softly concentrated, juicy Sauvignon Blanc with lush passionfruit flavours. Serve with salads, vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% and 3.08 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 18.0+/20 Nov 2014 RRP $21.95
