Ara ‘Single Estate’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 31-Jul-2012
Full, even, pale straw-green colour. This has a light, delicate nose of green capsicum, pungent passionfruit and steely gooseberry aromas, attractively lifted, and with hints of bean-like development. Dry to taste, gentle capsicum and gooseberry flavours flow softly across the palate, showing some sweet, lush notes, enhanced by lively acidity. Though softly textured, this has good tension and line, and the palate builds with some depth to carry through to a moderately long finish. This is a soft textured, gently building Sauvignon Blanc that is balanced and easily approachable. Serve with antipasto, seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2+ years. Fruit from parcels in all areas of the Ara estate, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc., and <1 g/L rs. 16.5/20 Aug 2012 RRP $21.99
