Aquilani Friuli Grave DOC Pinot Grigio 2014

Pinot Gris from Italy - Other
Review Date : 28-Apr-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with slight green-gold tints. The nose is light with softly fresh aromas of white and yellow stonefruits along with subtle hints of honeysuckle and lifted florals. This is gentle, rounded and clean in expression. Dryish to taste and light-bodied, the palate is refreshingly clean with mouthwatering flavours of white stonefruits, florals and honeysuckle, unfolding delicate nutty elements. The mouthfeel is smooth and rounded and follows a delicate phenolic line, with lacy acidity lending some liveliness. The wine leads to a soft, gentle finish of stonefruits and honeysuckle. This is a fresh, clean, soft and light, dryish Pinot Grigio with stonefruit, floral and honied notes. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Grigio from the Udine and Pordenone sub-regions of Friuli, fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. 15.5+/20 Apr 2016 RRP $19.99
