Anwilka ‘Petit Frere’ 2013

Blended Red from South Africa
Review Date : 27-Sep-2016
Very dark black-red colour. The nose shows ripe black berried fruits with spice and lifted black pepper aromas, along with some earth and game interest. On palate, the flavours of black berried fruits show with layers of black pepper and spices, along with herb and curranty notes. Grainy tannins and textures prevail, and the mouthfeel is lively from good acidity. The tannins grow in presence and carry through to the finish. This is a structural wine with herb laced back berried and peppery fruit. Petit Frere is the second label of Anwilka. A blend of 81% Syrah, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot fermented to 14.31% alc. 16.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $35.00
