Antonin Guyon Savigny-les-Beaune ‘’Les Goudelettes’ 2011

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Nov-2013
Very dark, deep, purple hued red, youthful in appearance. This has a bold, up-front nose of primary raspberry fruit aromas, ripe in expression with a complexing herb line adding interest. Medium-bodied, fresh, sweet, raspberry fruit flavours feature on palate, enlivened by crisp and racy acidity. The tannin extraction is restrained, allowing the fruit and acidity to speak. There is no rusticity or gaminess that the terroir here often provides. A very modern Savigny-les-Beaune with freshness and crispness. A wine to enjoy over the next 4-6 years. From 2.13 ha, the wine aged 15 months in 15% new oak. 17.0+/20 Nov 2013 RRP $56.00
