Antinori Santa Cristina Toscana IGT 2019, Italy

Blended Red from Italy - Tuscany
Review Date : 23-Mar-2022
Deep, ruby-red, youthful, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is lifted and welcoming, aromas of ripe cherries, blueberries interweave violet, pastry and vanilla. Medium-bodied, aromas of cherries, blueberry pie melded with violet fragrances, vanillin and cocoa beans. Smooth, powdery tannin added structure and line. Balanced acidity and lingering spice lend a salivating, sustained finish. This multi varietal blend is effortlessly charming, approachable with flavours of cherry, blueberry pie, violet and a powdery tannin line. Match with beef lasagna and spiced lamb over the next 3-4 years. A blend of Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet and Sangiovese, fermented separately, destemmed, maceration on skins for 1 week in stainless steel tanks, underwent MLF, aged 4 months. 13% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Mar 2020 $24
