Ant Moore Marlborough Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Jun-2011
100% Pinot Gris from the ‘Ants Nest' vineyard in the Waihopi Valley, fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs, with lees stirring and indigenous yeasts used. Full, even straw-yellow colour, the bouquet is tight and linear with white stonefruit, minerals and flinty lees work clear and piercing. Dry to taste, this has intense and luscious flavours of white and yellow stonefruits complexed by smoky-stony lees elements allied to slippery acidity. The mid-palate is firm, but opens out with sweetness on the finish. Match with seafood, poultry and semi-hard cheeses over the next 4-5 years. 17.5+/20 Jun 2011 RRP $23.00
