Ant Moore Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 29-Jun-2011
Deepish ruby-red colour with light purple hues on edge, this has a very fresh, elegantly proportioned nose showing lovely purity of bright raspberry-like fruit lifted by violetty florals. A medium-weighted wine, the bright, primary dark berry and raspberryish fruit is still tightly held, and somewhat restrained in expression. However, there is sweetness at the core, and the wine features bright acidity and fine-textured tannins resulting in good line and a lush finish. Clones 667, 777, 114 and Abel, fermented to 14.2% alc., the wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels. Match with salmon, tuna and all poultry over the next 4-6 years. 17.5+/20 Jun 2011 RRP $ 32.00
