Anne Gros ‘Le Grand Maupertui’ Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2008

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Jul-2011
From 0.93 ha, youthfully hued purple-red colour, this has a tight, fine and firm bouquet of ripe dark berry fruits with violet perfumes and a minerally purity that is almost New World in expression. The palate is one of balanced componentry, with ripe dark berry fruits, expressed with clarity, very finely extracted tannins that provide an elegantly proportioned, but significant structure, and fresh, lively acidity, all these combining to enable 7-10 years aging.  Jul 2011
