Anne Gros Bourgogne 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 01-Apr-2012
One of the Gros family stars, Anne Gros has brought her small Vosne-Romanee domaine into the international spotlight with her finely crafted modern wines. Light ruby-red colour with light, youthful purple hues. The bouquet is soft and gentle with dark berry fruits interwoven with violetty perfumes and dark red florals lifted with some oak. Medium-bodied, this is an elegantly proportioned wine with pure, lifted dark red berry and red floral fruit flavours. The fruit is moderately rich and restrained in sweetness, but in balance with fine-grained tannin extraction. Oaking is noticeable. The acidity is discreet and in harmony. While not complex, this is finely expressed with clarity of fruit. 4-5+ years. 17.5/20 Mar 2012 RRP $59.00
