Anna’s Way Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Oct-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour, very pale on edge. This has a very fresh, elegant and tightly concentrated, penetrating nose of passionfruit and gooseberries entwined with white floral and mouthwatering mineral detail. Intricate and subtle nuances of tropical fruits, nettles and lifted fermentation esters emerge with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, softly sweet and luscious flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries flow smoothly cross the palate. This has a fine-textured line with easy, lacy acidity providing balance, energy and tension. Floral aromatics and fermentation esters add lift and interest, and the wine carries to a fine, lingering dry finish. This is an elegantly rich, juicy, detailed Sauvignon Blanc with a smooth flowing palate and fresh line. Serve with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Awatere and Wairau valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Oct 2015 RRP $19.99
