Anna’s Way Marlborough Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Apr-2018
Brilliant light straw-yellow colour with some depth, a little paler on the edge. The nose is fresh with light aromas of white and yellow florals along with notes of pears and white stonefruits, unfolding delicate herb nuances. This is clean and uncomplicated. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has aromatic flavours of white and yellow florals, pears, and subtle exotic rose-petal elements. The fruit forms a rounded core with some phenolic grip providing a guiding line. The acidity is fresh and balanced and carries to a light, lingering, fragrant finish. This is a light, aromatic, dry Pinot Gris with floral and pear fruit on a light-textured palate. Match with Asian fare over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 1.6 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Apr 2018 RRP $18.99
