Made from fruit from Anchorage's ‘Flett Road' vineyard and the ‘Ryder' site in Motueka, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 5.4 g/L rs. Very pale straw-yellow with youthful green hues to the colour, this has a very fresh bouquet of fresh herbs, English gooseberries lifted with esters and aromatics. Off-dry to taste, the herbaceous fruit flavours are cool in expression, but tight and intense with good depth. Racy acidity provides plenty of cut and a sleekness to the palate, and the finish displays herbs, stalks and gooseberry fruit. A wine to serve with shellfish over the next 2+ years. 15.5+/20 Mar 2011 RRP $19.00
