Anchorage Reserve Sparkling Cuvee NV, Nelson

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Jan-2022
Bright, even pale yellow. Gentle and consistent bubbles. The nose is soft, fresh aromas of apple, pear, toast melded with a hint of yeasty autolysis. Medium-bodied, linear baked apple, pear, enriched by creamy custard and toastiness. The fruit is pure, clean and linear on the palate; a subtle apple skin texture adorns. Excellent acid balance left a refreshing finish, extended by toastiness. This youthful, refreshing Methode Traditionelle sparkling wine possesses toffee apple and pear, balanced acidity and complexity. Serve as an aperitif or match with cheese twist pastry over the next 2-3 years. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, 12% alc, 9g/l RS. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Jan 2022 RRP $23
