Anchorage Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Nelson

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Jan-2022
Bright, pale straw-yellow, even colour throughout. The bouquet is voluminous, vibrant aromas leaping out of the glass, white currant, passionfruit, chervil and fresh-cut grass, underlining oyster shell. Medium-light bodied, lime aroma bursting on the palate, melded with lime zest, white currant, passionfruit, chervil and cut-grass. Mouthwatering acidity awakens the palate, flows along with oyster shells, chalky minerals to a fresh finish. The flavours are sharp, flood with vibrancy; a hint of salinity brings a long, juicy finish. Match with goat's chees tart and steamed seafood over the next 3 years. Fermented in stainless steel to 12.5% alc, 4.4 g/l RS, left on gross lees post-ferment. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Jan 2022 RRP $19
