Full, dark, deep purple-hued black-red colour, lighter on the rim and youthful in appearance. The nose is softly full and gently packed with aromas of ripe blackberried fruit and dark raspberries, along with black pepper, dark-red and violet florals and soft Asian spices, unveiling some funky game-like notes. Medium-bodied, the palate has rich and succulently sweet flavours of blackberries, dark raspberries and notes of black pepper, liquorice, Asian spices, unfolding some funky game. The palate has fruit richness with balanced grainy tannin extraction and structure, and integrated acidity. The wine flows to a moderately long, lingering finish of black fruits, spices and game. This is a soft, full and flavoursome Syrah with blackberry, dark raspberry, black pepper, and liquorice and spice notes with some funkiness, on a structured and balanced palate. Match with barbecued and roasted red meats and casseroles over the next 3+ years. This is a finely proportioned Syrah with good depth of blackberry and raspberry fruit and peppery notes on a fine, grainy-textured palate. Match with lamb, beef and venison dishes over the next 4 years.
