Anchorage Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 17-Sep-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the edge. The nose is elegantly concentrated with intense aromas of gooseberry fruit along with notes of fresh herbs and nettles, the fruit with some cooler spectrum nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has fresh and lively flavours of gooseberries, nettles, cut grass and fresh herbs that form a finely packed core. The mouthfeel is fresh and lively, with racy acidity. The fruit flows along a very fine-textured line with good drive and energy, leading to a long, mouthwatering finish of gooseberries and nettles. This is a fresh and racy, finely concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and nettle-like fruit, and a thirst-quenching palate. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit predominantly from the ‘Home’ vineyard, cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 17.0-/20 Sep 2017 RRP $18.00
