Anchorage Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 11-Jan-2014
A single vineyard wine, the fruit given some skin contact and cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4.9 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on lees. Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, very pale on rim. This has a full and finely concentrated, deep nose of pungent passionfruit harmoniously entwined with mouthwatering flint and minerally nuances. Fresh herb and grassy elements emerge in the glass. Dry to taste and elegantly presented, pungent passionfruit and mineral flavours form a concentrated core with excellent freshness and acidity providing real linearity. The mouthfeel is balanced, refreshing and fine-textured with excellent power and drive, carrying the flavours to a thirst-quenchingly dry, sustained and slightly grainy finish. This is a concentrated passionfruit and minerally flavoured Sauvignon Blanc with finesse and drive. Match with seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2 years. 2,280 cases made. 18.0+/20 Jan 2014 RRP $18.99
