Anchorage Nelson Pinot Noir 2011

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 06-May-2012
Bright, light garnet-red colour, a little orange hue on edge. The bouquet displays lively, savoury red berry, plum and floral fruit aromas along with some nutty elements. Medium-full bodied, fresh savoury red berry fruit flavours are intermixed with game and nutty notes. There is a sweet, juiciness to the fruit expression, enlivened by crisp acidity. The extraction is light and allows the fruit to feature through the palate. The finish has richness, with lingering red fruit characters. A bright and juicy, easy-drinking Pinot Noir with savoury layers. Serve with Asian and Middle Eastern poultry dishes over the next 3-4 years. Dijon clone fruit destemmed, given a cold soak and fermented with whole berries to 13.5% alc., the wine given light oaking. 16.0+/20 May 2012 RRP $18.00
