Anchorage Nelson Chardonnay 2017

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 17-Sep-2017
Light golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter edged. The nose is full and up-front with harmoniously melded aromas of yellow stonefruits, along with lemon-curd and butterscotch MLF notes and hints of nutty oak. Medium-bodied, the palate us up-front with fulsome flavours of yellow stonefruits entwined with lemon-curd and butterscotch MLF, and subtle nutty oak elements. The flavours are broad and deep, and fill the palate. The palate has light textures and grip, and fresh, background acidity. The flavours carry to a lingering finish of MLF. This is a full and flavoursome Chardonnay with up-front stonefruit and lemon-curd MLF notes on a slightly grainy-textured, fresh palate. Serve with seafood, poultry and pork over the next 3 years. Fruit from the Motueka River bridge site and the ‘Flett Road’ site, fermented with a portion of new oak to 12.5% alc., the wine aged on lees with 100% MLF. 16.5/20 Sep 2017 RRP $18.00
