Alvaro Palacios ‘Gratallops’ Priorat’ 2011

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 12-Aug-2016
Dark, deep ruby-red colour with black-purple hues. This is firm, full and densely packed on bouquet with soft-layered, savoury dark-red berry and raspberry fruits with secondary game and earthy notes, lifted by some new oak. Full bodied, this has a solid, but rounded core with strong depth, density and concentration of savoury dark red berry fruits with sweetness and richness, balanced by matching fine-grained, flowery tannin structure and grip. The finish is savoury and mouthwatering with lively acidity. This is a seriously constructed Priorat with secondary development and acid liveliness. 5-7+ years. 18.0/20 Aug 2016 RRP $59.00
