Alvaro Palacios ‘Finca Dofi’ Priorat 2007

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 12-Aug-2016
Darkish ruby-red colour with good depth and purple hues on rim. The bouquet is elegant and finely presented with good, building intensity, showing fragrant raspberry and dark-red floral notes, revealing earth and mineral elements, along with suggestions of dried herbs and game. Medium-full bodied, the fruit expression quite aromatic, unfolding sweetly ripe red berry fruit flavours along with secondary game and dried herb nuances. This has plenty of supporting extraction and structure, but retains a degree of elegance as the wine carries to a long, lingering finish of game and sweet fruits. A wine with some elegance, sweet and savoury fruit and plenty of structure. 5-7+ years. 18.0/20 Aug 2016 RRP $99.00
