Alpine Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Oct-2016
Bright, very light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. This has a very fresh and tight nose with an amalgam of gooseberries, passionfruit and nettles, softly presented and moderate in intensity, but thirst-quenching, blossoming in aromatic passionfruit notes with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is tightly packed with flavours of pungent passionfruit along with notes of gooseberries, nettles and fresh herbs. The mouthfeel shows light, grainy phenolic textures, with crisp, clean, zesty acidity that provides liveliness and tension. The wine carries to tight, light-textured, dry, thirst-quenching finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a tight, concentrated passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with grainy textures and bright acidity. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.4 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Oct 2016 RRP $16.99
