Alpine Valley Marlborough Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Sep-2011
Pale pink colour with some depth, and youthful, pale purple hues. The bouquet is soft and elegant with aromas of red florals, raspberries and red stone fruits infused with mineral notes, all quite tightly bound. Dry to taste, this has good body, weight and vinous presence, though the flavours are a little shy. Bright, refreshing red floral and berry fruit flavours show and are enlivened by good acidity, adding some juiciness to the palate. The textures are very delicate and provide a gentle core and line. 100% Pinot Noir from the Upper Wairau Valley destemmed and cold soaked for 24 hours, then cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.4% alc. and 5.5 g/L rs. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Sep 2011 RRP $14.95
