Clear, pale yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is full, lifted, with aromas of stonefruit, citrus preserve, floral, saline, flint, minerals and spice. Full-bodied, aromas of apricot, Meyer lemon and elderflower entwined with warm spice, citrus peels and flint, chalky minerals and white pepper carries to a long, sweet-fruited finish. The wine is concentrated with sweetly ripened fruit, supported by tangy, integrated acidity; chalky minerals and spice contribute layers of interest. This stylish Sancerre is generous, ripe, powerful with concentration and shows a sense of place. Match with fish and poultry over the next 7+ years. Sauvignon Blanc grapes fermented 50% in new barrels, 50% in vats, aged on fine lees for 7-8 months, 14.5% alc. Biodynamic certified. 19-/20 pts (95 pts) Nov 2022 RRP $42 (375ml bottle)
