Allan Scott Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Aug-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is gently full and voluminous with softly deep aromas of pungent passionfruit and ripe tropical fruit, along with subtle notes of fresh herbs and some mineral hints at the core. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses sweetly ripe flavours of passionfruit and tropical fruits, along with lifted floral elements and fresh herbs. The mouthfeel has a light, grainy phenolic line with fresh acidity providing good liveliness and energy carrying the wine to a lingering, thirst-quenching finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is an aromatic and pungent passionfruity and tropical fruited Sauvignon Blanc with a textured, mouthwatering palate. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 2.1 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Aug 2016 RRP $18.00
