Allan Scott Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Mar-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow, near colourless on the rim. The nose is gently voluminous with aromas of ripe gooseberries with soft passionfruit, yellow capsicum and floral notes and lifted fermentation esters. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has restrained flavours of aromatic gooseberries, passionfruit and lifted esters elements. The mouthfeel is soft with light underlying phenolic textures and integrated, lacy acidity. The wine flows easily with gentle drive and linearity, carrying to a rounded and soft finish of passionfruit and esters. This is a soft and rounded, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with a subtle textured line. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the mid-Wairau Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.9% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Mar 2016 RRP $17.99
