Allan Scott Marlborough Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Aug-2016
Bright, light, cerise-pink with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. This has a vey fresh, tightly bound and firm nose of strawberries and cranberries along with some confectionary elements, a hint of fresh herbs and a touch of minerally reduction. Medium to taste and light-medium bodied, fresh strawberry and cranberry fruit flavours form a rounded heart, unfolding subtle confectionary elements and a hint of savoury minerals. The mouthfeel features gently refreshing lacy acidity and the wine flows smoothly with good underlying energy to a bright, lingering finish of cranberries and confectionary. This is a refreshing, youthful, medium rosé with a rounded core of strawberry and cranberry fruit flavours with subtle mineral nuances. Serve as an aperitif and with tapas or dim sum over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir, principally from Omaka, spending 2 days on skins and fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 16.2 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $18.00
