Allan Scott Marlborough Riesling 2017

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Nov-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is elegantly presented with a moderately concentrated core of lime fruit along with white floras, exotic blossom elements and subtle mineral notes. Medium-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has a fine and softly concentrated, rich heart with lime fruit flavours lifted by floral and blossom notes, along with honeysuckle and mineral elements. The fruit is enlivened by light, refreshing acidity, and the wine flows with good poise along a light-textured line. The flavours carry with good richness to a lingering finish. This is an elegantly rich and concentrated medium-dry Riesling with lime, honey and floral flavours and mineral notes on a fresh, fine-textured palate. Serve with Asian fare over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the ‘Moorlands’ block, with vines nearly 30 y.o., fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 16.2 g/L RS, TA 8.8 g/L and pH 2.93. 17.5+/20 Nov 2017 RRP $18.00
