Allan Scott Marlborough Riesling 2015

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Aug-2016
Bright straw-yellow with lemon-green hues, pale edged. The nose is full and up-front with aromas of lime fruit entwined with honey notes, exotic florals a sherbet. The aromatics show with freshness and depth. Medium-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours are bright and up-front, and evenly presented, showing aromatic and rich lime fruit melded with honeysuckle and exotic florals, and nuances of sherbet. The mouthfeel is soft and fine-textured, balanced by acid energy, and the wine leads to a thirst-quenching finish with a slightly drying texture and lingering notes of citrus and honey. This is an up-front, aromatic, medium-dry Riesling with lime, honey and exotic floral flavours and a fine-textured., dry finish. Fruit from the ‘Moorlands’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.6% alc., 9 g/L RS, TA 6.86 g/L and pH 3.09. 17.5/20 Aug 2016 RRP $18.00
