Allan Scott Marlborough Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 31-Mar-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with a light blush, pale edged. This has a fresh nose with good depth and intensity of white and yellow stonefruits and an amalgam of exotic florals, fragrant pear fruit, nuances of spice and a subtle, minerally core. Off-dry and medium-bodied, fresh and bright, juicy and luscious flavours of yellow stonefruit are entwined with spices and fragrant floral elements. The mouthfeel is lively and refreshing with energy and tension, the vibrant acidity driving the flavours to a fine-textured, sustained, dry finish of stonefruits and florals. This is a fresh, lively, aromatic, off-dry Pinot Gris with a fine, dry finish. Match with Asian cuisine over the next 3 years. Marlborough fruit given a short period of skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 13.2 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Mar 2016 RRP $17.99
