All That Jazz Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Dec-2013
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with a light golden hue, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh, up-front and bold with ripe pungent passionfruit aromas intermixed with cool-spectrum gooseberry, grass and green capsicum notes. Dry to taste, softly lush passionfruit flavours merge with gooseberry and grassy fruit elements. The fruit sweetness is balanced by some phenolic textures and the palate has good linear drive with some alcohol power noticeable. Bright and brisk acidity enhances the fruit liveliness and refreshing mouthfeel. The wine carries through to a moderately long finish showing some dry grip and textures. This is a bold and luscious Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and grassy flavours and a bracing, textured mouthfeel. Match with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from 77% ‘Cowley’ vineyard and 23% ‘TerraVin Hillside’ site, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 2.1 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Dec 2013 RRP $18.50
