All That Jazz Marlborough Chardonnay 2011

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Sep-2012
Chardonnay fruit fermented in stainless-steel, with a portion in French oak to 13.0% alc., and aged 10 months in barrel with partial MLF. Bright straw-yellow colour with slight lemon-green hues and good depth. This has a full, up-front nose of ripe citrus fruit with a flinty lees-reductive amalgam and oak nuttiness. Medium-bodied, light citrussy flavours build with intensity on the palate. Lively acidity and a slight textural grip underline the fruit which reveals plenty of flinty, lees notes along with some nutty characters. The wine carries through to a moderately long, crisp and dry finish. This dry and crisp Chardonnay has citrussy fruit complexed by flinty interest. Serve with seafood and creamy poultry dishes over the next 3-4 years. 17.0/20 Sep 2012 RRP $19.50
