Alexander ‘Raumati’ Martinborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 06-Sep-2017
Bright, light strawberry pink colour with slight peach hues, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is soft and delicate with subtle aromas of strawberries, quince and cranberries entwined with red floral elements, revealing subtle mothering mineral notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a soft heart of strawberries, quince and cranberry fruit along with hints of peach, red florals and minerals. The palate is enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity providing a gentle mouthwatering mouthfeel, and the wine floes a fine, soft-textured line leading to a clean, crisp, dry finish of florals. This is a gentle and softly refreshing dry rosé with delicate flavours of strawberries, quince and cranberries. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. Clone 5 Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Home’ vineyard, hand-picked, pressed and cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 1.4 g/L RS. 1,150 bottles made. 17.5/20 Sep 2017 RRP $26.00.
