Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, lighter on rim. The nose is softly fresh with full aromas of green stonefruits, herbs and citrus fruit that build in depth. The aromas are harmoniously interwoven with nuances of nectarines and minerals. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate is bright and lively, and lusciously fruited with flavours of green stonefruits, tropical fruits and herbs. The mouthfeel is softly textured with grainy phenolics balanced by lively acidity providing a positive line with drive and energy leading to a strong, flavoursome stonefruity finish. This is a gently luscious Sauvignon Blanc with fine, dry textures. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Martinborough fruit 30% WBP and tank fermented with 5% in barrel with indigenous yeast to 13.5% alc., the wine undergoing batonnage for 3 weeks. 17.5/20 Nov 2014 RRP $17.00
