Alain Jaume ‘Grand Veneur’ ‘Reserve’ Cotes du Rhone Rosé 2017

Rose from France - Rhone
Review Date : 26-Nov-2018
Bright, very pale pink colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh with tightly bound aromas of white stonefruits along with subtle notes of soft red florals and mouthwatering minerals. This is clean and has clarity and purity of expression. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is finely crisp and taut with a finely bound core of white stonefruits with nuanced of red florals, a touch of herbs, and thirst-quenching minerals. The wine flows along a very fine-textured palate line with brisk, background acidity. The palate is both juicy and mouthwatering and the delicate fruit provides an attractive lift on the finish. This is a classical, dry southern French rosé with delicate stonefruit and floral flavours and mouthwatering minerals in a fine-textured, fresh palate. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2+ years. A blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvedre, part saigneed and part direct to press, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and dryness. Certified Agriculture FR organic. 17.5/20 Nov 2018 RRP $18.99
