Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 29-Sep-2023
Light ruby-red with a brick hue, even colour throughout. It has a soft bouquet with strawberry, cherry, floral aromas and subtle spice. Light-bodied, strawberry and red cherry aromas melded with blossom and a touch of pepper at the closing. The wine is light and supple with concentration of bright fruit; lively acidity carries a moderately long finish. This Pinot Noir is elegant and bright with balanced fruit and acidity. Match with seared tuna and pork belly. Cold soaked for 3 weeks prior to fermentation, fermented to 12.62% alc, aged 11 months in French oak. 17/20 pts (85 pts) Sep 2023 RRP $50
