Akaroa Winery Organic Cuvee Blanc 2017, Banks Peninsula, Canterbury

Blended White from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 30-Jun-2022
Bright, pale yellow with depth, even colour throughout. The nose is gentle with elegantly presented aromas of green apple and pear interweave floral, cereals and a hint of nutty element. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, fresh nuances of green apple and pear have a taut core, unfolding citrus blossom and creamy MLF elements. The acidity is crisp and refreshing, leading to a clean, uncomplicated, dry finish. This dry, fresh white with crisp fruit and acidity enhanced texture by creamy MLF and textural phenolics. Match with pork roast and pan-fried white fish over the next 2 years. 50% Chardonnay, fermented in barrel and aged for 3 months, 50% Riesling fermented to dry in stainless steel and aged for 4 months. 9.7% alc. 15.5/20 pts (78 pts) June 2022 RRP $30
