Bright, straw-yellow with green hues, even colour throughout. This has an elegant and gentle bouquet of citrus overlay talcum spice, warm butter and hazelnut suggestions. Medium-bodied, aromas of lemon and yellow apple enriched by clarified butter and spice linger with roasted hazelnut on the finish. The flavours are harmonious and well-proportioned, supported by lacy acidity. Fine-textured phenolics flow smoothly along a creamy stream to a linear finish. This well-balanced Chardonnay shows a citrus and apple core with well-portioned barrel and MLF details. Match with blue cod beurre blanc and chicken ballotine over the next 3+ years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, barrel-fermented to 12.2% alc, underwent MLF, aged in barrel for 4 months. 17.5+/20 pts (89 pts) June 2022 RRP $30
