Bright, even, pale yellow. This has a softly reductive bouquet penetrating aromas of nut, flint underlying citrus and apple and a hint of warm butter. Medium-bodied, aromas of lemon, grapefruit sorbet and apple, enriched by almond, flint, warm butter and spice hints. The mouthfeel is soft with a fine texture, lively acidity drives a crisp, elegant finish. Match with snapper and chicken ballotine over the next 3+ years. Barrel fermented to 11.79% alc, aged 11 months in French oak, underwent MLF. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Sep 2023 RRP $50
