Aimery Grande Cuvee 1531 Cremant de Limoux Brut NV, France

Sparkling Wine from France - Other
Review Date : 15-Nov-2021
Bright, even, pale yellow colour. Bubbles are fine and persistent. The nose is softly expressive, aromas of apple, stonefruit interweave freshly baked brioche and nougat. Medium-bodied, well-proportioned baked apple, peach, lemon zest entwined with brioche and nougat. The wine is well-balanced with brilliant acidity and weight; the fruit has good intensity and length, enriched by toasty and yeasty autolysis showing brioche and nutty nougat nuance. This is an elegant and poised Methode Traditionelle with vivid scents of apple, stonefruit and balanced toasty autolysis. Match with smoked chicken and seafood platter over the next 2-3 years. A blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin and 10% Pinot Noir, made by the traditional method, 12% alc, 7g/l RS, matured at least 2 years before release. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Nov 2021 RRP $29.99
