Aimé Stentz ‘Cuvee Clos du Vicus Romain’ Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris ‘Hengst’ 2009

Pinot Gris from France - Alsace
Review Date : 12-Aug-2012
Deep, light-golden yellow in colour, this has a powerful, intense nose of cooked, ripe stonefruits and a medium-sweet palate with rich, ripe tropical fruits, spiced pears and honey. This is richly textured and unctuous, simply decadent and already delicious. There is a dense core, and this wine should develop more sumptuousness and breadth over the next 4-5 years. 13.0% alc.  Sep 2011
