Aimé Stentz ‘Cuvee Clos du Vicus Romain’ Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris ‘Hengst’ 2005

Pinot Gris from France - Alsace
Review Date : 08-Sep-2011
Pale-edged straw-yellow colour, youthful in appearance, this has a powerful and very intense nose of tightly bound aromas of fresh, ripe, yellow stonefruits. Slightly sweet, with a medium-full body at 13.0% alc., this has pure honied pear fruit flavours very finely expressed, with gentle richness and lusciousness, supported by fine clean acidity and very fine textures. This is a classically structured and will continue to develop another 5-7+ years.  Sep 2011
