Aimé Stentz Alsace Pinot Gris ‘Rosenberg’ 2009

Pinot Gris from France - Alsace
Review Date : 08-Sep-2011
Brilliant straw-yellow colour, this has a full, ripe, spicy pear fruited nose along with sour minerally aromas, hints of caramelly botrytis-like notes. Slightly sweet, the wine has rich, honied pear and apricot flavours with good depth, power and weight, the wine with 13.0% alc. The acidity is soft and low, this contributing to a lush, rounded mouthfeel. There are ‘sweet and sour' elements on taste. A sustained finish is a positive feature.  Sep 2011
