Abbotts & Delaunay Les Fruits Sauvages Pinot Noir 2020, France

Pinot Noir from France - Other
Review Date : 23-Mar-2022
Dark ruby-red with good transparency, slightly lighter on the rim. The wine has a soft bouquet with subtle power, aromas of blackberries, cherries interweave violet and a hint of spice. Medium-bodied, nuances of blackberries and cherries leading, followed by violet floral, vanilla and pepper, cinnamon entwined with a soft tannin grip and lingering to a dry finish. Dark shaded fruit shows balanced acidity and ripeness, and cinnamon and vanilla spices added a layer of complexity. This dark-fruited Pinot Noir with floral and spice details show generous flavours and a textured palate. Match with lamb kebab and charcuteries over the next 2 years. Fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc, 25% aged in oak barrels for 6-9 months. 17/20 pts (85 pts) Mar 2022 RRP $23
