Abbotts & Delaunay Les Fruits Sauvages Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, France

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Other
Review Date : 23-Mar-2022
Deep ruby-red with depth, slightly lighter edged. This wine has a charming bouquet packed with cassis, black plums and cedar, unfolding vine leaf, star anise and nutmeg. Full-bodied, succulent aromas of cassis and black plums have a bright core, vine leaf and cedar followed, salivating acidity drives a focused, long finish with star anise and nutmeg. The acidity is bright with good energy, supporting a juicy fruit core and a fine-grained tannin structure. This appealing, juicy Cabernet Sauvignon shows varietal, cedar and spice details on a fine palate. Fruit destemmed, long maceration with regular pump-over, underwent MLF, 10% of the cuvee aged in oak barrels, the balance in stainless steel. 13.5% alc. 17.5+/20 pts (89 pts) Mar 2022 RRP $23
