Abbotts & Delaunay Les Fleurs Sauvages Mourvedre 2019, France

Mourvedre from France - Other
Review Date : 28-Mar-2023
Deep ruby-red, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full, penetrating blackberry, mulberry, vanilla and cinnamon aromas. Full-bodied, aromas of blackberry and mulberry entwined with vanilla and cinnamon. Fine-textured tannins contribute to a smooth, grainy grip. Bright, balanced acidity drives smoothly to a succulent finish. This Mourvedre shows ripe fruit with bright acidity and spice complexity on a smooth mouthfeel. Match with beef burger and lamb ribs over the 3 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc, 3-4 weeks maceration, 30% aged in oak barrels. 17+/20 (86 pts) Mar 2023 RRP $24
