Abbotts & Delaunay A Tire d’Aile Corbieres 2019, France

Blended Red from France - Other
Review Date : 23-Mar-2022
Full, deep ruby-black, lighter on the rim. This wine has an elegant, fragrant bouquet; dark fruit interweaves violet, spice, underlined tobacco and black olives. Full-bodied, ripe blackberries, plums enriched by black olives, violet and spice; the flavoured integrated harmoniously and tobacco linger to a long, sustained finish. The mouthfeel is velvety, made up of fine-grained tannin extraction. Balanced acidity enlivens the black fruit and olive core, providing focus and strength. This full-bodied, dark-fruited Corbieres shows richness and power on a refined tannin palate. Match with game and grilled meat over the next 5 years. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, macerated for 15 days, fermented to 14% alc, 40% aged in oak barrels (20% new), the balance in stainless steel. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Mar 2022 RRP $28
